In Thursday's non-league outing, the Fairbury Jeffs (Fairbury, NE) basketball squad nipped the host Tri County Trojans (DeWitt, NE), by a margin of 39-32.

The Jeffs (2-9) will now prepare for their outing against Wilber-Clatonia (Wilber, NE). The Wolverines go into the non-league outing with a 4-8 record. In their last outing, Wilber-Clatonia was tipped by Southern (Wymore, NE), 41-26, in a league outing.

The Trojans now own a 2-9 record. They play next when they travel to Freeman for a C2 District 1 outing on Saturday, January 7. Tri County will clash with a Falcons squad coming off a 40-39 non-league win over Parkview Christian (Lincoln, NE). The Falcons record now stands at 6-4.
