In Thursday's league outing, the Payson Lions (Payson, UT) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Hillcrest Huskies (Midvale, UT), by a margin of 68-24.

The Lions (7-3) will now prepare for their outing against Uintah (Vernal, UT). The Utes go into the 5A Region 7 outing with a 5-2 record. In their last outing, Uintah smashed Tooele (Tooele, UT), 54-26, in a league outing.

The Huskies now own a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Cottonwood for a 5A Region 7 outing on Tuesday, January 10. Hillcrest will clash with a Colts squad coming off a 44-37 league win over Stansbury (Stansbury Park, UT). The Colts record now stands at 8-4.
