Illinois High School Basketball - LaSalle-Peru crushes Mendota
January 5, 2023: LaSalle, IL 61301 LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers (LaSalle, IL) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Mendota Trojans (Mendota, IL), 48-16 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, LaSalle-Peru upgrades its record to 9-7 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Sycamore (Sycamore, IL) to play the Spartans in a Interstate 8 bout on Saturday, January 7. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 8-10. Sycamore won 46-43 in their recent league bout against Ottawa (Ottawa, IL)
Next up, the Trojans play the Bureau Valley Storm (Manlius, IL) in a Three Rivers - East bout, on Monday, January 9. Mendota will attempt to upgrade on its 4-11 season record. The Storm come into the bout with a 6-13 record after their 48-29 non-league loss to Wethersfield (Kewanee, IL).
