Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Southside Seahawks (Chocowinity, NC) and the visiting Croatan Cougars (Newport, NC), saw Southside's basketball squad wallop Croatan by a tally of 63-38.

With the victory, Southside improves its record to 1-8 on the campaign. The Seahawks host Pamlico County (Bayboro, NC) to confront the Hurricanes in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Hurricanes come into the challenge with a record of 0-9.
