Florida High School Basketball - Winter Springs nudges New Smyrna Beach
January 5, 2023: New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168 Winter Springs Bears (Winter Springs, FL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host New Smyrna Beach Barracudas (New Smyrna Beach, FL), 46-45 in a league bout.
With the win, Winter Springs upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Bears host Hagerty (Oviedo, FL) to clash with the Huskies in a non-league bout on Monday, January 9. The Huskies go into the bout with a record of 14-1. Hagerty won 68-51 in their recent non-league bout against Oviedo (Oviedo, FL)
Next up, the Barracudas clash with the University Titans (Orange City, FL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 9. New Smyrna Beach will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 2-9 record after their 42-33 non-league loss to Mount Dora (Mount Dora, FL).
