The Aubrey Chaparrals basketball team scored 74 points and held the visiting Pinkston Vikings to 60 in the Chaparrals non-league triumph on Friday.

The Chaparrals now sport a 17-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Van Alstyne for a 4A Region II District 11 contest on Friday, January 12.

The Vikings (12-12) will now prepare for their contest against Carter (Dallas, TX). The Cowboys enter the 4A Region II District 13 contest with a 17-5 record. In their last contest, Carter ran past Washington (Houston, TX), 78-67, in a non-league contest.
