New York High School Basketball - Canisteo-Greenwood crushes Jasper-Troupsburg
January 5, 2024: Jasper, NY 14855 Canisteo-Greenwood Chargers (Canisteo, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Jasper-Troupsburg Wildcats (Jasper, NY), 73-43 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Canisteo-Greenwood upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Chargers travel to Campbell-Savona (Campbell, NY) to play the Panthers in a Section 5 Steuben 1 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 0-11. Campbell-Savona lost 52-12 in their recent non-league bout against Dundee/Bradford Central (Dundee, NY)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Arkport Central/Canaseraga Wolves (Arkport, NY) in a Section 5 Steuben 2 bout, on Monday, January 8. Jasper-Troupsburg will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Wolves go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 68-67 league win over Avoca-Prattsburgh (Prattsburgh, NY).
