Alabama High School Basketball - Williamson tops Gulf Shores
January 5, 2024: Mobile, AL 36605 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Williamson Lions (Mobile, AL) and the visiting Gulf Shores Dolphins (Gulf Shores, AL), saw Williamson's basketball squad knock off Gulf Shores by a tally of 64-51.
With the victory, Williamson improves its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Pascagoula (Pascagoula, MS) to play the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 6. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 14-1. Pascagoula won 67-65 in their recent non-league challenge against Canton (Canton, MS)
Next up, the Dolphins play the Rain Red Raiders (Mobile, AL) in a 5A Area 1 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Gulf Shores will attempt to improve on its 9-9 season record. The Red Raiders come into the challenge with a 6-10 record after their 58-48 non-league loss to Tate (Cantonment, FL).
