Maine High School Basketball - Hampden fells Messalonskee
January 5, 2024: Hampden, ME 04444 Hampden Broncos (Hampden, ME) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Messalonskee Eagles (Oakland, ME), 64-54 in a league bout.
With the win, Hampden upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Broncos host Skowhegan (Skowhegan, ME) to play the River Hawks in a A North bout on Tuesday, January 9. The River Hawks go into the bout with a record of 3-5. Skowhegan lost 70-58 in their recent league bout against Mt. Blue (Farmington, ME)
Next up, the Eagles play the Brewer Witches (Brewer, ME) in a A North bout, on Saturday, January 6. Messalonskee will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Witches go into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 58-51 league win over Lawrence (Fairfield, ME).
