Texas High School Basketball - La Vega overwhelms West

January 5, 2024: Waco, TX 76705

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the La Vega Pirates (Waco, TX) and the visiting West Trojans (West, TX), saw La Vega's basketball squad wallop West by a tally of 75-42.

With the victory, La Vega improves its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Pirates host Southwest Christian School (Fort Worth, TX) to play the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 18-7. Southwest Christian School lost 74-53 in their recent non-league challenge against Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool (Fort Worth, TX)

Next up, the Trojans play the Clifton Cubs (Clifton, TX) in a 3A Region III District 17 challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. West will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record.
