In Friday's league match, the visiting Palisades Pumas basketball team scored a good 71-55 triumph over the Olympic Trojans.

In their next game, the Pumas meet the Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) in a non-league match, on Friday, January 12. Palisades will attempt to move on its 9-6 season record.

With the defeat, Olympic moves to 3-12 on the year. The Trojans travel to Myers Park (Charlotte, NC) to meet the Mustangs in a 4A South Meck match on Tuesday, January 9. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 11-2. Myers Park won 54-38 in their recent league match against Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC)
