Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Parkwood Wolf Pack (Monroe, NC) and the visiting West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC), saw Parkwood's basketball squad hold off West Stanly by a tally of 73-67.

With the victory, Parkwood improves its record to 7-6 on the campaign. The Wolf Pack travel to Anson (Wadesboro, NC) to confront the Bearcats in a 2A/3A Rocky River challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Bearcats come into the challenge with a record of 8-5. Anson won 67-34 in their recent league challenge against Central Academy (Monroe, NC)

Next up, the Colts confront the Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC) in a 2A/3A Rocky River challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. West Stanly will attempt to improve on its 7-6 season record. The Redhawks come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 58-54 league loss to Piedmont (Monroe, NC).
