California High School Basketball - Santa Monica nips Peninsula
January 5, 2024: Santa Monica, CA 90405 Santa Monica Vikings (Santa Monica, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Peninsula Panthers (Rolling Hills Estates, CA), 53-46 in a league bout.
With the win, Santa Monica upgrades its record to 12-5 on the season. The Vikings travel to Valley Christian (Cerritos, CA) to play the Defenders in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Defenders go into the bout with a record of 10-9. Valley Christian lost 63-60 in their recent league bout against Maranatha (Pasadena, CA)
Next up, the Panthers play the Mira Costa Mustangs (Manhattan Beach, CA) in a Bay bout, on Monday, January 8. Peninsula will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 12-6 record after their 59-49 league loss to Culver City (Culver City, CA).
