The River Road Wildcats basketball team scored 69 points and held the visiting Shamrock Irish to 24 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now sport a 8-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Caprock for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 9.

The Irish (5-11) will now prepare for their contest against Quanah (Quanah, TX). The Indians enter the 2A Region I District 2 contest with a 14-8 record. In their last contest, Quanah triumphed over Harrold (Harrold, TX), 54-40, in a non-league contest.
