Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Scranton nips Valley View
January 5, 2024: Scranton, PA 18508 Scranton Knights (Scranton, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Valley View Cougars (Archbald, PA), 50-44 in a league bout.
With the win, Scranton upgrades its record to 9-2 on the season. The Knights host West Scranton (Scranton, PA) to play the Invaders in a Lackawanna 1 bout on Monday, January 8. The Invaders go into the bout with a record of 5-6. West Scranton won 68-25 in their recent league bout against Western Wayne (Lake Ariel, PA)
Next up, the Cougars play the Abington Heights Comets (Clarks Summit, PA) in a Lackawanna 1 bout, on Monday, January 8. Valley View will attempt to upgrade on its 10-1 season record. The Comets go into the bout with a 10-0 record after their 75-70 league win over Scranton Prep (Scranton, PA).
