Vermont High School Basketball - Woodstock nips Springfield
January 5, 2024: Springfield, VT 05156 Woodstock Wasps (Woodstock, VT) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Springfield Cosmos (Springfield, VT), 50-49 in a league bout.
With the victory, Woodstock upgrades its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Wasps host U-32 (Montpelier, VT) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 10. The Raiders come into the bout with a record of 3-4. U-32 lost 78-46 in their recent league bout against Montpelier (Montpelier, VT)
Next up, the Cosmos play the Leland & Gray Rebels (Townshend, VT) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 10. Springfield will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Rebels come into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 67-56 non-league loss to Poultney (Poultney, VT).
