Stamford Black Knights (Stamford, CT) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting St. Joseph Cadets (Trumbull, CT), 55-50 in a league bout.

With the victory, Stamford upgrades its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Black Knights travel to McMahon (Norwalk, CT) to play the Senators in a Fairfield County bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Senators come into the bout with a record of 2-3. McMahon won 61-60 in their recent league bout against Greenwich (Greenwich, CT)

Next up, the Cadets play the Warde Mustangs (Fairfield, CT) in a Fairfield County bout, on Tuesday, January 9. St. Joseph will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 4-1 record after their 63-51 league win over Wilton (Wilton, CT).
