Tennessee High School Basketball - Alcoa overwhelms Austin-East
January 5, 2024: Alcoa, TN 37701 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Alcoa Tornadoes (Alcoa, TN) and the visiting Austin-East Roadrunners (Knoxville, TN), saw Alcoa's basketball squad wallop Austin-East by a count of 67-41.
With the victory, Alcoa upgrades its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Tornadoes host Fulton (Knoxville, TN) to play the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 11. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 3-10. Fulton lost 65-24 in their recent league challenge against Northview Academy (Kodak, TN)
Next up, the Roadrunners play the Oneida Indians (Oneida, TN) in a 2A District 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Austin-East will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 70-33 league loss to Gatlinburg-Pittman (Gatlinburg, TN).
