January 5, 2024: Springfield, VA 22150 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Annandale Atoms (Annandale, VA) and the host Lewis Lancers (Springfield, VA), saw Annandale's basketball squad hold off Lewis by a tally of 56-50.
With the victory, Annandale improves its record to 4-6 on the campaign. The Atoms host Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology (Alexandria, VA) to play the Colonials in a District 3 challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Colonials come into the challenge with a record of 5-6. Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology won 48-34 in their recent league challenge against Justice (Falls Church, VA)
Next up, the Lancers play the Gar-Field Red Wolves (Woodbridge, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 8. Lewis will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record. The Red Wolves come into the challenge with a 4-8 record after their 48-16 league loss to Charles J. Colgan (Manassas, VA).
