Louisiana High School Basketball - East Iberville tops Covington
January 5, 2024: St. Gabriel, LA 70776 East Iberville Tigers (St. Gabriel, LA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Covington Lions (Covington, LA), 58-47 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, East Iberville upgrades its record to 11-7 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Patterson (Patterson, LA) to play the Lumberjacks in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Lumberjacks come into the bout with a record of 1-8. Patterson lost 57-36 in their recent non-league bout against Istrouma (Baton Rouge, LA)
Next up, the Lions play the Westminster Christian Academy (Lafayette, LA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 6. Covington will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record. The come into the bout with a 1-5 record after their 51-10 non-league loss to Ascension Christian (Gonzales, LA).
