January 5, 2024: Red Rock, OK 74651 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Luther Lions (Luther, OK) and the host Frontier Mustangs (Red Rock, OK), saw Luther's basketball squad hold off Frontier by a tally of 39-34.
With the victory, Luther improves its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Lions host Preston (Preston, OK) to play the Pirates in a Freelance challenge on Saturday, January 6. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 9-2. Preston won 56-20 in their recent league challenge against Morrison (Morrison, OK)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Morrison Wildcats (Morrison, OK) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 6. Frontier will attempt to improve on its 11-2 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 56-20 league loss to Preston (Preston, OK).
