Ohio High School Basketball - Jefferson Area holds off Harvey
January 5, 2024: Jefferson, OH 44047 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Jefferson Area Falcons (Jefferson, OH) and the visiting Harvey Red Raiders (Painesville, OH), saw Jefferson Area's basketball squad hold off Harvey by a tally of 38-34.
With the victory, Jefferson Area improves its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Falcons host St. John (Ashtabula, OH) to confront the Fighting Herald in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 6. The Fighting Herald come into the challenge with a record of 3-5. St. John won 54-20 in their recent league challenge against Chalker (Southington, OH)
Next up, the Red Raiders confront the Madison Blue Streaks (Madison, OH) in a Chagrin Valley - Lake challenge, on Wednesday, January 10. Harvey will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Blue Streaks come into the challenge with a 10-1 record after their 61-53 league loss to Edgewood (Ashtabula, OH).
