January 5, 2024: Mapleton, IA Kingsley-Pierson Panthers (Kingsley, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto/Charter Oak-Ute (Mapleton, IA), 56-55 in a league bout.
With the win, Kingsley-Pierson upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Panthers travel to Hinton (Hinton, IA) to clash with the Blackhawks in a non-league bout on Monday, January 8. The Blackhawks go into the bout with a record of 10-3. Hinton won 64-35 in their recent league bout against Gehlen Catholic (Le Mars, IA)
Next up, the clash with the Denison-Schleswig Monarchs (Denison, IA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 6. Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto/Charter Oak-Ute will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record. The Monarchs go into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 55-42 league win over Creston (Creston, IA).
