January 5, 2024: Rockwell, NC 28138 The Rockwell Christian School Chargers basketball team (Rockwell, NC), was overwhelmed 50-29 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting New Manna Christian Wind (Marion, NC)
The Wind now possess a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Victory Christian Academy for a NCCSA A West Region 1 battle on Tuesday, January 9. New Manna Christian will battle a Patriots team coming off a 61-40 league loss to Victory Christian (Sylva, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 1-5.
The Chargers (5-6) will now prepare for their battle against Shining Light Baptist Academy (Monroe, NC). The Sharks come into the NCCSA A West Region 2 battle with a 1-3 record. In their last battle, Shining Light Baptist Academy was overwhelmed by Southview Christian (Statesville, NC), 42-25, in a non-league battle.
