Alabama High School Basketball - Sulligent overwhelms South Lamar
January 5, 2024: Sulligent, AL 35586 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Sulligent Blue Devils (Sulligent, AL) and the visiting South Lamar Stallions (Millport, AL), saw Sulligent's basketball squad wallop South Lamar by a count of 61-11.
With the victory, Sulligent upgrades its record to 10-1 on the campaign. The Blue Devils host Marion County (Guin, AL) to play the Red Raiders in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Red Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 8-8.
Next up, the Stallions play the Holy Spirit Catholic Saints (Tuscaloosa, AL) in a 1A Area 9 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. South Lamar will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Saints come into the challenge with a 10-6 record after their 51-37 non-league loss to Oak Grove (Bessemer, AL).
