Childersburg Tigers (Childersburg, AL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lincoln Golden Bears (Lincoln, AL), 69-66 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Childersburg upgrades its record to 10-6 on the season. The Tigers host Saks (Anniston, AL) to clash with the Wildcats in a 3A Area 9 bout on Friday, January 7. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 7-3. Saks won 74-26 in their recent league bout against Wellborn (Anniston, AL)

Next up, the Golden Bears clash with the Sylacauga Aggies (Sylacauga, AL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 8. Lincoln will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Aggies go into the bout with a 11-6 record after their 81-65 league win over Central of Clay County (Lineville, AL).
