Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans (Mt. Vernon, SD) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Tri-Valley Mustangs (Colton, SD), 40-31 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Mt. Vernon/Plankinton upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Titans travel to Wessington Springs (Wessington Springs, SD) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 11. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 5-3. Wessington Springs lost 62-55 in their recent non-league bout against Ethan (Ethan, SD)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Tea Titans (Tea, SD) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 11. Tri-Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record.
