January 6, 2023: East Corinth, ME 04427 The Central Red Devils (East Corinth, ME) basketball nipped the visiting Washington Academy Raiders (East Machias, ME), 67-60 in Friday's non-league test.
The Red Devils (2-6) will now prepare for their test against Penquis Valley (Milo, ME). The Patriots go into the C North test with a 2-2 record. In their last test, Penquis Valley got by Piscataquis (Guilford, ME), 47-33, in a league test.
The Raiders now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Presque Isle for a B North test on Saturday, January 7. Washington Academy will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 70-51 league loss to Caribou (Caribou, ME). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-5.
