Tennessee High School Basketball - Grainger tops Cosby
January 6, 2023: Cosby, TN 37722 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Grainger Grizzlies (Rutledge, TN) and the host Cosby Eagles (Cosby, TN), saw Grainger's basketball squad knock off Cosby by a count of 64-56.
With the victory, Grainger upgrades its record to 6-7 on the campaign. The Grizzlies host Claiborne (New Tazewell, TN) to play the Bulldogs in a 3A District 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 3-8.
Next up, the Eagles play the Happy Valley Warriors (Elizabethton, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 7. Cosby will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 1-12 record after their 83-31 non-league loss to Hampton (Hampton, TN).
