In Friday's league match, the visiting Holmes Aces basketball team scored a tight 71-65 triumph over the Currituck County Knights.

In their next game, the Aces meet the First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) in a 2A/3A Conference 15 match, on Tuesday, January 10. Holmes will attempt to better on its 7-6 season record.
