Arkansas High School Basketball - Dermott can't hold off Fordyce
January 6, 2023: Fordyce, AR 71742 The Fordyce Redbugs basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the visiting Dermott Rams to 60 in the Redbugs non-league victory on Friday.
The Redbugs now sport a 8-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rison for a 2A Region 8 contest on Saturday, January 7. Fordyce will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 87-44 non-league loss to Riverview (Searcy, AR). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-3.
The Rams (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against Nevada (Rosston, AR). The Blue Jays come into the 1A Region 8 contest with a 14-1 record. In their last contest, Nevada edged Hampton (Hampton, AR), 66-63, in a league contest.
