New Jersey High School Basketball - East Side over West Side
January 6, 2023: Newark, NJ 07105 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the East Side Red Raiders (Newark, NJ) and the visiting West Side Roughriders (Newark, NJ), saw East Side's basketball squad overcome West Side by a tally of 73-62.
With the victory, East Side improves its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Red Raiders travel to Columbia (Maplewood, NJ) to confront the Cougars in a Super Essex - American challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 8-3. Columbia won 56-50 in their recent league challenge against North Star Academy (Newark, NJ)
Next up, the Roughriders confront the East Orange Campus Jaguars (East Orange, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. West Side will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 2-6 record after their 57-49 league win over Central (Newark, NJ).
