In Friday's league match, the host New Bern Bears basketball team scored a good 74-54 triumph over the J.H. Rose Rampants.

In their next game, the Bears meet the D.H. Conley Vikings (Greenville, NC) in a 3A/4A Conference 19 match, on Tuesday, January 10. New Bern will attempt to better on its 8-6 season record. The Vikings enter the match with a 11-5 record after their 58-44 league win over Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC).
