North Carolina High School Basketball - Monroe tops Parkwood
January 6, 2023: Monroe, NC 28112 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC) and the visiting Parkwood Wolf Pack (Monroe, NC), saw Monroe's basketball squad knock off Parkwood by a tally of 63-55.
With the victory, Monroe improves its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Redhawks host Sun Valley (Monroe, NC) to play the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 5-9. Sun Valley lost 79-75 in their recent league challenge against Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC)
Next up, the Wolf Pack play the West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC) in a 2A/3A Conference 44 challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Parkwood will attempt to improve on its 12-4 season record. The Colts come into the challenge with a 6-10 record after their 69-67 league win over Forest Hills (Marshville, NC).
