West Virginia High School Basketball - Waverly knocked off by Oak Hill
January 6, 2023: Oak Hill, WV 25901 The Oak Hill Red Devils basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting Waverly Tigers to 41 in the Red Devils non-league triumph on Friday.
The Red Devils now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wyoming East for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 7. Oak Hill will meet a Warriors team coming off a 50-41 league win over Mingo Central (Matewan, WV). The Warriors record now stands at 6-1.
With the defeat, Waverly moves to 1-9 on the year. The Tigers travel to Oak Hill (Oak Hill, OH) to play the Oaks in a Southern Ohio II match on Friday, January 6. The Oaks enter the match with a record of 5-4. Oak Hill lost 74-55 in their recent league match against Valley (Lucasville, OH)
