California High School Basketball - Salinas tipped by Palma

The Palma Chieftains basketball team scored 51 points and held the visiting Salinas Cowboys to 50 in the Chieftains league triumph on Friday.

The Chieftains now sport a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hollister for a PCAL - Gabilan contest on Wednesday, January 11. Palma will meet a Haybalers team coming off a 52-48 league loss to Carmel (Carmel, CA). The Haybalers record now stands at 6-5.

The Cowboys (8-5) will now prepare for their contest against Monterey (Monterey, CA). The Dores enter the PCAL - Gabilan contest with a 9-4 record. In their last contest, Monterey nudged Pacific Grove (Pacific Grove, CA), 58-39, in a non-league contest.
