Kansas High School Basketball - Rawlins County nips Wallace County
January 6, 2023: Sharon Springs, KS 67758 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Rawlins County Buffaloes (Atwood, KS) and the host Wallace County Wildcats (Sharon Springs, KS), saw Rawlins County's basketball squad hold off Wallace County by a count of 49-47.
With the victory, Rawlins County upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Buffaloes travel to Decatur Community (Oberlin, KS) to play the Red Devils in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 9. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a record of 0-6. Decatur Community lost 49-17 in their recent non-league challenge against Oakley (Oakley, KS)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Greeley County Jackrabbits (Tribune, KS) in a Northwest Kansas challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Wallace County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Jackrabbits come into the challenge with a 6-1 record after their 56-49 non-league loss to Northern Valley (Almena, KS).
