The Mt. Pleasant Oilers basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Lapeer Lightning to 38 in the Oilers league triumph on Friday.

The Oilers now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Central for a Saginaw Valley contest on Tuesday, January 10. Mt. Pleasant will meet a Wolves team coming off a 74-25 league loss to Carman-Ainsworth (Flint, MI). The Wolves record now stands at 0-8.

The Lightning (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against Dow (Midland, MI). The Chargers enter the non-league contest with a 4-4 record.
