Illinois High School Basketball - Elgin Academy overwhelms Alden-Hebron
January 6, 2024: Elgin, IL 60120 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Elgin Academy Hilltoppers (Elgin, IL) and the visiting Alden-Hebron Green Giants (Hebron, IL), saw Elgin Academy's basketball squad wallop Alden-Hebron by a tally of 60-28.
With the victory, Elgin Academy improves its record to 8-10 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers host Latin (Chicago, IL) to play the Romans in a Independent School challenge on Thursday, January 11. The Romans come into the challenge with a record of 5-9. Latin lost 54-47 in their recent non-league test against Kankakee (Kankakee, IL)
The Green Giants now own a 4-10 record. They play next when they host Schaumburg Christian for a Northeastern test on Tuesday, January 9. Alden-Hebron will encounter a Conquerors squad coming off a 65-60 league loss to Westlake Christian Academy (Grayslake, IL). The Conquerors record now stands at 1-8.
