California High School Basketball - Bishop Gorman can't hold off Archbishop Riordan

January 6, 2024: San Francisco, CA 94112

The Archbishop Riordan Crusaders basketball team scored 82 points and restricted the visiting Bishop Gorman Gaels to 81 in the Crusaders non-league victory on Saturday.

The Crusaders now sport a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Serra for a West Catholic contest on Tuesday, January 9. Archbishop Riordan will battle a Padres team coming off a 66-52 league loss to Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, CA). The Padres record now stands at 9-3.

The Gaels (13-3) will now prepare for their contest against Durango (Las Vegas, NV). The Trailblazers come into the 5A Southern contest with a 4-11 record. In their last contest, Durango was nudged by Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NV), 72-58, in a league contest.
