Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Wissahickon overwhelms Central
January 6, 2024: Ambler, PA 19002 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Wissahickon Trojans (Ambler, PA) and the visiting Central Lancers (Philadelphia, PA), saw Wissahickon's basketball squad wallop Central by a tally of 71-37.
With the victory, Wissahickon improves its record to 4-8 on the campaign. The Trojans host Cheltenham (Wyncote, PA) to play the Panthers in a Suburban One - American challenge on Wednesday, January 10. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 9-2. Cheltenham lost 72-61 in their recent league challenge against Abington (Abington, PA)
Next up, the Lancers play the Simon Gratz Bulldogs (Philadelphia, PA) in a Philadelphia Public - Liberty challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Central will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 74-65 non-league win over Germantown Friends (Philadelphia, PA).
