Oklahoma High School Basketball - Kingfisher knocked off by Cushing
January 6, 2024: Cushing, OK 74023 The Cushing Tigers basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Kingfisher Yellowjackets to 37 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Tigers now sport a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kiefer for a Tulsa Seven contest on Tuesday, January 9. Cushing will battle a Trojans team coming off a 53-51 non-league win over Wagoner (Wagoner, OK). The Trojans record now stands at 6-3.
The Yellowjackets (2-8) will now prepare for their contest against Newcastle (Newcastle, OK). The Racers enter the Western - North contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, Newcastle ran past Bridge Creek (Blanchard, OK), 68-62, in a non-league contest.
