Maine High School Basketball - Ellsworth overwhelms Houlton
January 6, 2024: Ellsworth, ME 04605 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Ellsworth Eagles (Ellsworth, ME) and the visiting Houlton Shiretowners (Houlton, ME), saw Ellsworth's basketball squad wallop Houlton by a tally of 69-36.
With the victory, Ellsworth improves its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to John Bapst Memorial (Bangor, ME) to confront the Crusaders in a B North challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a record of 1-8. John Bapst Memorial lost 78-55 in their recent league challenge against Hermon (Hermon, ME)
Next up, the Shiretowners confront the Presque Isle Wildcats (Presque Isle, ME) in a B North challenge, on Wednesday, January 10. Houlton will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 1-7 record after their 39-26 league loss to Washington Academy (East Machias, ME).
