Illinois High School Basketball - Schaumburg knocked off by Evanston
January 6, 2024: Evanston, IL 60201 The Evanston Wildkits basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting Schaumburg Saxons to 46 in the Wildkits non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Wildkits now sport a 13-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Niles North for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 9. Evanston will battle a Vikings team coming off a 79-72 non-league loss to Westinghouse (Chicago, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 13-4.
The Saxons (12-7) will now prepare for their contest against Hersey (Arlington Heights, IL). The Huskies enter the non-league contest with a 8-10 record. In their last contest, Hersey was knocked off by Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn, IL), 58-45, in a non-league bout.
