Virginia High School Basketball - Nansemond-Suffolk Academy edges Franklin
January 6, 2024: Suffolk, VA 23434 The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints (Suffolk, VA) basketball nipped the visiting Franklin Broncos (Franklin, VA), 40-37 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Saints (4-8) will now prepare for their test against Atlantic Shores Christian (Chesapeake, VA). The Seahawks go into the non-league test with a 5-6 record. In their last test, Atlantic Shores Christian was tipped by Maury (Norfolk, VA), 57-35, in a non-league test.
The Broncos now own a 7-4 record. They play next when they host Surry County for a Tri-Rivers test on Monday, January 8. Franklin will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 59-46 non-league loss to Ridgecroft (Ahoskie, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 2-9.
