In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Homestead Spartans basketball team scored a good 49-37 triumph over the Wawasee Warriors.

In their next game, the Spartans meet the Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian Braves (Fort Wayne, IN) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, January 9. Homestead will attempt to better on its 6-7 season record. The Braves enter the match with a 10-3 record after their 62-59 non-league win over Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran (Fort Wayne, IN).

With the defeat, Wawasee moves to 5-7 on the year. The Warriors host Mishawaka (Mishawaka, IN) to meet the Cavemen in a Northern Lakes match on Friday, January 12. The Cavemen enter the match with a record of 8-3. Mishawaka won 48-45 in their recent non-league match against Elkhart (Elkhart, IN)
