The Justin Garza Guardians basketball team (Fresno, CA), was toppled 51-43 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host McLane Highlanders (Fresno, CA)

The Highlanders now possess a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sunnyside for a North Yosemite battle on Tuesday, January 9. McLane will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 59-56 non-league win over Independence (Bakersfield, CA). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-3.

The Guardians (10-9) will now prepare for their battle against Madera (Madera, CA). The Coyotes come into the County/Metro battle with a 10-8 record. In their last battle, Madera beat Central Valley Christian (Visalia, CA), 68-61, in a non-league battle.
