New York High School Basketball - William Floyd crushes Walt Whitman
January 6, 2024: Huntington Station, NY 11746 William Floyd Colonials (Mastic Beach, NY) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Walt Whitman Wildcats (Huntington Station, NY), 74-53 in a league bout.
With the win, William Floyd upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Colonials travel to Ward Melville (East Setauket, NY) to clash with the Patriots in a Section 11 AAA-1 bout on Thursday, January 18. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 5-3.
Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Brentwood Indians (Brentwood, NY) in a Section 11 AAA-1 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Walt Whitman will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record.
