January 6, 2024: Davenport, IA 52804 The Rock Island Rocks (Rock Island, IL) basketball felled the host Davenport West Falcons (Davenport, IA), 62-42 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Rocks (7-12) will now prepare for their test against Quincy (Quincy, IL). The Blue Devils go into the Western Big 6 test with a 15-5 record. In their last test, Quincy was beaten by Battle (Columbia, MO), 42-38, in a non-league test.
The Falcons now own a 2-9 record. They play next when they travel to North Scott for a Mississippi test on Tuesday, January 9. Davenport West will encounter a Lancers squad coming off a 59-39 league win over Clinton (Clinton, IA). The Lancers record now stands at 4-8.
