In Saturday's non-league outing, the Mitchell Mustangs (New Port Richey, FL) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Gaither Cowboys (Tampa, FL), by a margin of 56-34.

The Mustangs (9-4) will now prepare for their outing against Springstead (Spring Hill, FL). The Eagles go into the 6A District 4 outing with a 10-3 record. In their last outing, Springstead smashed Vanguard (Ocala, FL), 36-24, in a non-league outing.

The Cowboys now own a 5-7 record. They play next when they host Hillsborough for a 6A District 9 outing on Wednesday, January 10.
